William McGill
Managing Director
William is the founder and Managing Director of Bold Consulting Group. He is passionate about enabling sustainable futures for communities and has a track record of successfully collaborating with partners to deliver diverse outcomes.
William started Bold Consulting Group to build a business that empowers partners to take bold steps toward a better future.
William has infrastructure policy, strategy, business case development, programme management, and project management experience across New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom. He is a chartered civil engineer and his project experience spans the public and private sectors across rail, light rail, road transport, active transport, intermodal hubs, public transport interchanges, airports, and public realm upgrades.
William strives to create a positive and high performing culture in any team he works in and has held a number of senior leadership roles in the transport and infrastructure sector.
Mike Chatterley
Head of Advisory & Principal
As the Head of Advisory, Mike brings a wealth of experience in the public sector, particularly in infrastructure strategy, policy development, and funding and financing.
Mike’s public sector journey began at the New Zealand Treasury, where he engaged across a number of portfolios including Economic Development, Tourism, Commerce, and Consumer Affairs, Housing and Infrastructure. While there, he played key roles in Treasury’s National Infrastructure Unit and in establishing Te Waihanga, the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission.
Shifting his focus towards local government infrastructure, Mike joined the Department of Internal Affairs, and held a leadership role in developing the Funding and Financing Act of 2020—a cornerstone in reshaping local government funding mechanisms. From 2020 to 2022, he served as the Commercial and Financial Lead for the Water Services Reform Programme.
In 2022, he began channeling his enthusiasm for infrastructure policy and strategy into the private sector. Bold is the platform for Mike to help empower central and local governments to meet communities’ needs and build a better future.
